Spanish Programs

Master of Biblical Ministry | M.M.B.

The Master of Biblical Ministry curriculum provides a basic three-year program in graduate theological education designed to provide students an in-depth survey of biblical content and Christian theology along with coursework designed to equip them to adequately serve as lay ministers and elders in the local church. The program may also provide a basis for further graduate study leading to such degrees as Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Theology (Th.M.), Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). This program, delivered in Spanish, is available entirely online and also offers courses residentially.

Program Requirements

Master of Biblical Ministry students must complete the prescribed curriculum, comprising a minimum of 39 semester hours of credit, with a cumulative grade point average of not less than 2.5. Fluency in reading, writing and understanding Spanish is necessary for students in the program. For more information, see the Academic Catalog.

Spanish-English Hybrid Master of Divinity | M.Div.

TMS is currently offering up to half of the M.Div. program in the Spanish language. This allows students to take all their language and preaching courses in Spanish, along with a number of other courses.

Rather than having a different curriculum for Spanish speaking students, TMS’s core classes are identical in both Spanish and English. This is because the spiritual needs of mankind and the truth of the Gospel do not change from culture to culture, nor from language to language. Thus, academically qualified and godly Spanish speaking men teach the same courses that are taught in English at TMS.

The extra benefit is that bilingual students are able to choose certain classes in English and other classes in Spanish, knowing that the material they receive in each will be of the same content and quality.

The Expositor’s Institute | IDEX

IDEX offers certificate programs to prepare Spanish speaking men to display the glory of God through expository preaching. It accomplishes this through programs for every level of training, from more basic courses in Bible and Theology, to advanced exegesis courses in Hebrew and Greek. All these courses are designed to help students deepen their understanding of God and His Word, so that they may grow in personal holiness and learn to rightly divide the Word of truth. Courses are primarily offered online, but local students may take classes on TMS’s campus. IDEX does not offer degree programs.
