Dr. Bryan Murphy has been a professor at TMS since the fall of 2008. He currently serves as Professor of New Testament at The Master’s Seminary. In the summer of 1992, Dr. Murphy came to faith in Christ during premarital counseling, and after reading The Gospel According to Jesus by John MacArthur. After salvation, Dr. Murphy grew spiritually under the shepherding care of John Street at Clearcreek Chapel in Dayton, Ohio. There he committed to full-time ministry and moved to California to attend TMS, where he was mentored by Bill Barrick and Keith Essex.
At TMS, Dr. Murphy teaches exegesis classes in the Hebrew OT and Greek NT. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Murphy is the pastor/teacher of Roosevelt Community Church in Lancaster, California. He also lives in Lancaster with his wife Katherine and their two children, Liam and Madelyn.
