Countryside Bible Church is the home of The Master’s Seminary’s Dallas location. This vibrant, growing church is on a beautiful, 24-acre campus in the heart of the Dallas-Forth Worth area. It provides students with in-person classes and opportunities to engage in the practical skills of pastoral ministry.

Classes on the Campus of a Local Church

At the center of Countryside Bible Church’s philosophy of ministry are two non-negotiables: a high view of God and a high view of Scripture. We emphasize the worship of God, submission to the authority of Scripture, a life of love and holiness, the priority of the local church, and the proclamation of the gospel. The Elders of Countryside Bible Church are wholeheartedly committed to training and equipping the men who attend The Master’s Seminary’s Dallas location for their future ministries. That commitment includes personal discipleship, ministry opportunities, and regular exposure to the full range of elder discussions and decisions. We are equally committed to providing counsel and support as students near graduation and begin their search for future ministry opportunities.

A Dedicated Space for Seminary Training

Although TMS is an integral part of CBC and its ministries, we also understand how the classroom environment can support or detract from learning. A building on our campus has been dedicated during the week for the TMS Dallas location. There are two comfortable classrooms equipped with the latest technology for live, two-way classes, and there is a dedicated TMS library with comfortable study areas.

Proven Leadership

Tom Pennington leads The Master’s Seminary’s Dallas location. He has been the Pastor-Teacher at Countryside Bible Church since October 2003. He previously ministered for 16 years at Grace Community Church in various roles including elder, Senior Associate Pastor, and personal assistant to John MacArthur. Previously, he also served as an adjunct faculty member of The Master’s Seminary, Managing Director of Grace to You, and a contributor to the MacArthur Study Bible. Tom is a graduate of Bob Jones University (B.A., M.A., and additional Ph.D. classes in NT Interpretation) and holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity from The Master’s University.

Strategic Location

Countryside Bible Church is strategically located in Southlake, in between Dallas and Fort Worth. This makes it an ideal place to train for anyone living in the North Texas region. Though this city has a long and rich spiritual heritage, it is still a place in desperate need of clear, biblical preaching and courageous shepherding. The Master’s Seminary’s Dallas location is within driving distance of any student in the greater Dallas metroplex.
