Immanuel Bible Church brings The Master’s Seminary to the nation’s capital. The church is in Springfield, Virginia, less than 10 miles south of D.C. The church has a rich history of ministry in and around the nation’s capital. Students at the D.C. campus have the opportunity to take a combination of in-person and two-way classes and be part of a vibrant seminary community. Many of our DC students do not join Immanuel Bible Church, but stay involved in their own local churches. Regardless of what church they attend, all our students are part of campus life.

Gospel-Witness in Washington D.C.

Immanuel Bible Church and The Master’s Seminary’s D.C. location have the privilege of serving the large metroplex that is Washington D.C. and the Northern Virginia area. Many men and women in the community have dedicated their lives to government work. Career pursuits reign supreme for many of the souls in this area. On the campus of Immanuel, TMS students are shown a better way—a gospel focused way—to do ministry in the region. By steering clear of a politically infused ministry, students learn how to rise above the politics of the day and preach eternal truth with clarity and hope.

Student life at TMS D.C.

There are monthly events for student’s wives, as well as discipleship opportunities with pastors. Over the course of seminary education, the students develop rich relationships with each other that they will keep throughout their lives of ministry. The location has a study-center for student’s fellowship and prayer, and it serves as a place for students to prepare for classes. The church itself is committed to encouraging seminary students and fostering their spiritual growth through opportunities for service, preaching, evangelism, and internships.

Flexible Class Schedule

To allow students to stay involved in their current ministries or careers, TMS—DC uses a variety of formats for classes. One-third of our classes are livestreamed from Los Angeles, and fully interactive in real-time with the professors there. Another third of our classes are pre-recorded, which allows for students to watch them on their own schedules. Our in-person classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings. This schedule allows students to maintain current ministry obligations in their own churches, or to work as they go through seminary.
